We’re excited to announce this year’s Earth Photo competition is now open for entries.
Developed in partnership with Forestry England, Earth Photo aims to enable a better understanding of the world around us. Amateur and professional photographers of all ages are invited to submit up to 10 photographs or films that focus on the key themes of people, place, nature and changing forests.
New for this year is the theme ‘A climate of change’ to coincide with the UN COP26 summit taking place in Glasgow this autumn. Photographers and filmmakers are encouraged to advance ideas about any dimension of climate change, including its impacts, our efforts to mitigate risks and adapt to a changing climate, or how climate change changes us.
The competition is open to national and international photographers of all ages, and shortlisted works will be displayed in our Pavilion from 13 June to 20 August. Three further exhibitions will take place at the following Forestry England venues later in the year: Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire; Grizedale, Cumbria; and Moors Valley, Dorset.
Submitted photographs and films will be judged by a panel of experts chaired by award-winning photographer Marissa Roth. The panel will select an overall winner as well as a winner within each category.
The deadline for entries is 10.00am on Tuesday 7 April.
