We are delighted to announce a new Working Group: the Latin American Geographies Working Group (LAGWG). LAGWG has been active for the last three years, and aims to raise the profile of Latin American geographical ideas and practices in the UK and elsewhere, by working closely with diverse academic institutions, civil society organisations and social movements.
We are excited to welcome LAGWG to the Society as our newest Working Group, bringing our total number of Research and Working Groups to 32. Each Research Group brings together active researchers and those with a professional interest in a particular aspect of geography and related disciplines. Their primary remit is to support and promote their area of geography through support for academic research and teaching, but their work also extends into education, public policy and research, government and enterprise.
Society members can join LAGWG, or any other relevant Groups, at no additional charge – find out more.
