A geography course at the University of Chester has become the latest to be recognised via the Society’s programme accreditation scheme. The BA Geography programme has been awarded accreditation in the latest cycle, after completing all of the necessary review processes.
Through the scheme, the Society aims to recognise good practice in geography learning and teaching across UK higher education, while supporting continuous quality improvement and promoting good student outcomes across the sector.
Professor Derek France (University of Chester) said, "We are delighted to have secured the Society’s accreditation for our new BA Geography programme as this endorses the professional standing of our offer in human geography at the University of Chester.”
The next deadline for accreditation applications (for both undergraduate and master’s programmes) is 31 March 2022.
