We are delighted to announce that our river and coastal fieldwork resources were commended at the 2019 Scottish Association of Geography Teachers Annual Conference Publishers’ Awards.
The resources, produced in partnership with Environmental Resources Management (ERM), provide guidelines for river and coastal fieldwork approaches that are directly relevant to real-world professional industries, career paths and activities. Each fieldwork plan comes with requirements for site selection, the tools and techniques for data collection, pre- and post-fieldwork activities, relevance to GCSE and A Level examinations, health and safety considerations, and an example case study.
The Scottish Association of Geography Teachers noted how the incorporation of professional and workplace approaches to fieldwork, taken from ERM’s practices, further enhanced the resources and added value to teachers conducting fieldwork with their pupils.
