The Society is delighted to announce the signing of an agreement with the Association for Geographic Information (AGI) that continues the strategic alliance between the two organisations.
The Society and the AGI have worked together for many years supporting professionals and businesses using location data and geographic information (GI). The insight which can be derived from this, often in real-time, supports innovation, productivity and contributes to how we live, travel and work.
The new agreement aims to further strengthen and deliver a range of activities for the benefit of both geography professionals and businesses over the next two years. They include the production of case studies and the organisation of joint events that demonstrate the value of geography, GI and geospatial technology, as well as providing support, recognition and accreditation for those working in the sector.
We look forward to continuing our alliance with the AGI and the opportunities this will bring.
