We are pleased to announce that the Society is now a partner of the Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning (CCGL) programme.
CCGL is the successor to the Global Learning Programme (GLP), which the Society was involved with between 2012 and 2018. The GLP supported 7,800 primary and secondary schools to explore global and development perspectives with their pupils, and we continue to provide open access to the resources, lesson plans, online animations and case studies that were developed as part of this.
Now the CCGL is providing four further strands of activities to support UK schools in working with schools around the world to help young people develop their knowledge and skills. The activities include funding for international school partnerships, free CPD for teachers and school leaders, classroom resources, and joint learning activities with a focus on global themes.
Both one-to-one and cluster partnership grants are available to support reciprocal visits to international partner schools.
