About
The RED SEA PROJECT™ is an International non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection and conservation of marine ecosystems and biodiversity.
They offer a fully funded internship programme for UK citizens to learn and research at Marsa Alam, in Egypt for a month in July. The programme involves learning about and participating in marine mammal conservation (turtles, dugongs), coral watch, seagrass monitoring and sharing information and best-practice guidelines with visitors and divers.
Participants must be over the age of 18, hold a UK passport, study a Bachelor's or higher-level education, be keen to learn, and good swimmers - diving training can be provided at the programme. They particularly look to provide this opportunity for enthusiastic students who would not otherwise be able to afford it and to underrepresented groups.
Other volunteering opportunities are also available.
