Garth Miller

Garth draws on his experiences of operating in teams on Everest and K2, commanding coalition forces on operations in hostile countries, and managing in safety-critical airline roles, to bring to life the reality of a life of adventure.

Passionate about the high Himalaya, Garth has been on expeditions to five x 8000m peaks. In May this year he successfully completed a lightning ascent of Everest and Lhotse (the fourth highest mountain in the world) in just 21 days.

A veteran of 10 Ironman triathlons, the Marathon des Sables and other multi-sport adventures, Garth understands endurance. His military career has taken him around the world, including three tours of duty in Afghanistan.

Garth balances his career as a Captain at a major airline with adventure. He enjoys sharing his experiences with schools and businesses, engaging staff and pupils on the subjects of goal setting, grit, resilience, and value of learning from failure.
