Water management in the Lake District National Park

Sarah Jones, Kate Horn and Esther Harrison

Three PGCE students from the Institute of Education have developed a fieldwork project with specific links to the Edexcel A, AS/A2 specification, focusing on the Troutbeck reservoir in Cumbria. The aims of the project are to assess the impacts of damming and reservoirs in the area, and to study water management in the Lake District National Park.

The links listed provide an outline to the project, a risk assessment and a comprehensive set of resources for a day's work in the field. There is also a PowerPoint presentation to introduce students to their fieldwork.
