We are pleased to announce that Steve Keyworth CGeog (GIS) has been appointed as the new Chair of the Chartered Geographer Assessor Committee. Steve achieved Chartered Geographer (GIS) status in 2007 and has been an active assessor for the Society since 2008. He is the Director of Environment Systems, an environmental and agricultural data consultancy.

Steve replaces Andrew Murdock CGeog (GIS) in the role, following the completion of Andrew’s term as Chair. Andrew, a long-time supporter of the Society, led the assessment process and improvements for Chartered Geographer over many years, and we wish him the best of luck with his future endeavours.

Chartered Geographer is the only internationally recognised accreditation for geographers. It recognises competence, experience and professionalism in the use of geographical knowledge, skills and understanding in the workplace.
