Q&A with Paul Logue
Read our interview with one of our two 2025 Ordnance Survey Award recipients, Paul Logue.
Paul Logue is the recipient of the Ordnance Survey Award in recognition of excellence in geography education at the secondary level.
What do you do now and how would you describe your work?
"I am currently the Head of Geography and Staff Governor for St Dominic’s Sixth Form College in North West London. Our site is beautiful and enhanced with many different ecosystems, ponds, beehives and community gardens. We have strong community values and a dedicated staff and student body."

What projects are you working on right now?
"I am working with both the RGS and Geographical Association on some CPD projects aimed at teachers at different levels of their career and I am working with tutor2U to make resources for students and teachers."
What has been the highlight of your career, regardless of how big or small, so far?
"Results Day is my favourite day of the year. It is always amazing to see how hard work pays off."
Do you have any advice for someone wanting to go into your field?
"Go for it! Teaching is a great profession and fieldwork is what brings geographers sheer joy from the job."

What three words would you use to describe your life and work?
"Dedicated. Reflective. Random."
What did you want to be, or where did you want to work, when you were a teenager?
"I have always wanted to be a teacher! The only thing that changed over time was the level and the subject. In another universe, I am primary school or a history teacher. Imagine that!"
