Our annual expeditions and fieldwork planning event, RGS Explore Weekend, offers workshops, talks, and networking opportunities for aspiring, as well as seasoned, explorers planning their next expedition or fieldwork project.

Summit Photo on the other hand seeks to highlight the photographic work being undertaken at the confluence of human, physical and environmental geography, with a focus on environmental and humanitarian issues across the three-day event.

These events echo the aims of Rolex’s Perpetual Planet initiative, which seeks to preserve the natural world. This collaboration significantly enhances the Society's capacity to deliver impactful engagement and effect real change for the better.
