The Barclays Future Ready Programme is a six-week mentoring programme designed to help university students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds build the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to kickstart and navigate their careers.
Students will be matched with a Barclays employee for five one-to-one mentoring sessions, each lasting approximately one hour. Across the programme, you will receive personalised support to:
- Identify career pathways suited to your interests and strengths.
- Strengthen your CV, application answers and overall application approach.
- Prepare for competency, strengths-based and motivational interview questions.
- Develop your networking, workplace communication and professional confidence.
- Gain a better understanding of early-career opportunities involving finance and tech.
Eligibility
- Eligible for free school meals during secondary school education (ages 11–16)
- First generation to attend university
- Graduating in 2028 or 2029
