The Social Mobility Foundation started breaking down barriers in 2005 by directly supporting young people. The team of social mobility experts are spread across the UK.
Together with partners in business and civil society, they are creating a society where talent from all social backgrounds is nurtured, harnessed and rewarded.
The aspiring professionals programme
The Aspiring Professionals Programme supports students from Year 12, lower sixth or S5 through to their first graduate job.
It's completely free of charge and provides:
- Mentoring: Get expert advice and support from a volunteer mentor working in your chosen sector.
- Skills sessions and career workshops: Prepare for professional life and learn how to thrive in your career.
- University & Degree apprenticeship support: Get support and resources to help you through the UCAS application process, as well as help with your personal statement.
- Work experience with top employers: Gain firsthand experience in the professions with our partner employers across the UK.
