UK Youth Climate Coalition is a youth-led climate justice movement tackling the most pressing environmental issues with a focus on engagement, education, and upskilling young people. The coalition particularly pushes to engage with young people currently underrepresented in the climate movement.
UKYCC operates across local, national and international levels moving across a variety of important campaigning issues. At the grassroots level they give skills and support to young people who want to see climate action in their local areas and empower them to be a catalyst in their community or school.
Nationally, they have been working on an anti-gas campaign to demonstrate resistance to fossil fuel infrastructure. Internationally they are part of the growing International Youth Climate Movement and send a UK Youth Delegation to the UN Climate Talks to learn and share skills.
They also collaborate with other international youth organisations and call for immediate international climate action that is fair and protects the world’s most vulnerable.
