Join us for an event hosted by the Disaster Risk Management Professional Practice Group. An expert panel will discuss the links, similarities, and differences between local and international policies and guidelines for disaster risk management and disaster response. What lessons can be learnt from recent disaster events?
The webinar will involve experts from various international and national agencies, from the World Food Programme of the UN, the Caribbean Disaster & Emergency Management Agency, the UK's international search and rescue first-response organisation, and UK regional fire and rescue management, as well as academic researchers. The event will last roughly one hour, and there will be an opportunity for questions after the panel discussion.
