Berry Head National Nature Reserve is part of the English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark. Malcolm will lead this day by introducing special aspects of this remarkable landscape, which displays evidence of both natural and military history.
It also offers stunning views across the bay and along the South Devon coast.
Devon can boast to being the only English county that has a geological era named after it.
About the leader
Professor Malcolm Hart, is an internationally renowned micro-paleontologist whose work over a period of more than 40 years has led to fundamental advances in knowledge of the taxonomy, evolution, ecology and bio-stratigraphy of foraminifera.
He has published over 180 research papers, edited 8 books and supervised 35 PhD students. He was awarded the professor of micro-paleontology in 1982.

The route will be over fairly flat terrain, with a few short climbs.
Please wear appropriate footwear and clothing for the activity and weather.

Please make sure you arrive on time for the event. There will be a health and safety briefing at the beginning of the event which will inform attendees of significant risks and any precautions they may need to take.
