As part of our Use geography webinar series, you’ll connect with geographers from a wide range of industries, opening your eyes to the diverse and unexpected career paths your degree can lead to.
Careers within government involves working in public sector organisations, helping to develop and implement policy, deliver public services and support elected MPs. This can mean working in the civil service as well as local or regional governments. Roles are wide ranging, from policy specialists to analysts and scientists, project deliverers and finance and communication professionals.
Careers in the government cover a wide range of sectors including environment, education, emergency services, healthcare, housing, national security, social care and transport, among others. There is a Government Geography Profession for those using geographical skills and knowledge.
In this webinar, you’ll hear directly from geography professionals working in government, who will share real world insights, personal career journeys, and practical advice to help you take your first steps into this sector.
