A PhD in geography offers far more than your core research project. This webinar will explore how to make the most of the wide range of opportunities available, including teaching, fieldwork, placements, conferences, publishing, training, public engagement, and collaboration.

You will learn how to choose opportunities strategically to support your long-term goals, whether inside or outside academia, and how to balance them alongside your research.

We will also discuss how to reflect on and communicate what you gain from these experiences, helping you build a strong academic and professional profile. The session will include time for discussion, so you can share ideas and learn from others’ experiences.
