Dr Phil Power is Director of the Education Office and Head of Strategic Projects at Imperial College London, with responsibility for managing the implementation of the university strategy for education and the wider student experience.
From an early age Phil has had a demonstrable enthusiasm for geography, geoscience and the outdoors, leading to both expensive hillwalking experience across the UK and beyond, as well as a PhD in computational ocean modelling. Over the past 20 years Phil has supported over 350 student groups to undertake overseas trips and expeditions to over 75 different countries, and is currently Secretary to the Imperial College Exploration Board.
Phil is a Trustee of a students’ union and has a depth of experience working and volunteering within this part of the charity sector. Phil also volunteers with the Scouts in a variety of roles, has been involved in organising large international trips and was previously a UK Board Trustee.
