Rosalind Chaston works at the intersection of environmental research, communication and exploration, helping people and organisations translate knowledge into positive impact.
At the University of Oxford, she leads work connecting environmental research with real-world action, bringing together academics, policymakers, businesses and communities to address environmental challenges. She is currently leading a university-wide initiative to understand and strengthen the impact of Oxford’s environmental research.
Rosalind has also rowed across the Atlantic Ocean and around the coast of Britain, using her expeditions to engage people with the natural world and explore how adventure can contribute to positive environmental outcomes. She is particularly interested in how research, storytelling and exploration can move beyond raising awareness to inspire action and create change.
