Dr Suze Kundu is a nanochemist, science communicator, broadcaster, and public speaker with a passion for bringing scientific discovery to life through engaging, accessible storytelling.

A recovering academic, Suze has spent her career connecting scientific research with audiences beyond academia. She has appeared as a scientist and presenter in programmes for Discovery Channel, National Geographic and Curiosity Stream, written for Forbes, and appeared regularly as a science expert on television and radio. Her work has taken her around the world, exploring scientific stories through the people, places, and environments that shape them.

Suze has a particular interest in communicating science beyond the laboratory, from the chemistry of our natural environment to the challenges of climate change, sustainability and technological innovation. She is passionate about using storytelling to connect complex scientific concepts with real-world experiences, combining scientific rigour with curiosity, creativity, and compelling narratives.

Alongside her broadcasting and freelance science communication work, Suze is Community Engagement Consultant for NASA’s Science Explorer (SciX) at the Center for Astrophysics | Harvard & Smithsonian, where she helps researchers across disciplines share, discover and communicate their work. She is a former Trustee of the Royal Institution and formerly served as Director of Researcher & Community Engagement at Digital Science.

Through her work, Suze champions the idea that effective science communication is not about simplifying the science itself, but about finding the right stories, contexts and connections to make it meaningful to everyone.
