Xena Felton is an expedition logistician, tall ship sailor, certified Rescue Diver, and youth worker; with a particular interest in glacial, polar and maritime environments. They are a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society, and currently work as a Senior Expeditions Coordinator for British Exploring Society. In their day to day, Xena’s work supports expedition operations via planning, logistics, selection and training of leaders, and on-call operational response. They are the programme lead on British Exploring Society’s upcoming 2027 Expedition to the Lyngen Alps in Arctic Norway, alongside their general work as a member of the Expeditions and Programmes Team.

In addition to expedition work, Xena specialises in supporting queer and trans youth, and has worked with young people in the UK, US, and Aotearoa New Zealand. In various roles, they provide pastoral care, mentorship, and advocacy centring these groups in a wide variety of settings. At the heart of what they do, Xena’s mission is to facilitate equitable and accessible environments for marginalised communities to experience the wonders of the outdoors.
