Geographical magazine
Geographical is the official monthly magazine of the Society and has been published in the UK since 1935. Covering a range of content including geography, culture, wildlife and exploration, and all beautifully illustrated with insightful photography, Geographical is both informative and educational.
Sustainability is important to both the Society and Geographical, as such the paper for the magazine originates from timber grown in sustainable forests which is responsibly managed to strict environmental, social and economic standards. For every tree that is used to make Geographical, three more are planted in its place. Plus, the magazine is delivered to subscribers in 100% compostable packaging which breaks down in six months.
Geographical is included as part of the membership package for Members, as a digital edition for Student Members, and it can also be added to subscriptions for Fellowship and Associate Fellowship.

How members access their digital editions
Subscribers to Geographical magazine can access the digital edition by logging in to the webviewer from their browser or by downloading the app.
Your login details for the digital editions of Geographical magazine are the same as the ones you use to log in to the Society’s website. If you have not yet logged into our website or have forgotten your password, please use the ‘Forgot password’ link to reset your password.
Using a desktop or laptop computer to read Geographical
- Go to geographical.webviewer.net, select an issue and enter your login details.
Using a smartphone or tablet to read Geographical
- Search your app store for ‘Geographical Magazine’, download the free app and enter your login details
