CPD mark for employers and professional development providers
Find out about our CPD mark for CPD from employers and professional development providers
About the CPD mark
Continuing professional development is an integral part of applying for and maintaining Chartered Geographer (CGeog) accreditation.
The Society offers a CPD mark – the Assessed for CGeog logo – to recognise activities that support geographers in their professional development, for example in developing the competencies and articulations described in the Chartered Geographer Framework of Competencies or in teaching skills and knowledge specific to one of geography’s sub-disciplines.
The use of the Assessed for CGeog logo raises the profile of the these activities, highlighting their relevance for Chartered Geographer and other professional accreditations, and suggests an allocation of CPD points or hours that could be claimed by participants in their CPD log.
Courses and events that are approved to use the Assessed for CGeog logo and text have been assessed by a Chartered Geographer scheme Assessor to determine their suitability, with reference to the Chartered Geographer Framework of Competencies.
