Biography
Andrea Pace is a geographer specialising in geographic information systems (GIS), urban planning and transport studies. He has worked with the Malta based environmental consultancy Adi Associates Environmental Consultants Ltd since 2009, initially as a freelance consultant and since 2012 as a full time employee. He has been a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society since 2018. Andrea leads the company's GIS team, providing GIS, mapping and spatial analysis services, and prepares Transport Impact Assessments and other transport studies. His portfolio includes regional and international projects ranging from urban planning and environmental management to cultural heritage and Natura 2000 site management. Andrea holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Malta, where his research focused on urban growth modelling and development permits. His research interests include spatial analysis, urban geography, transport, historical geography and the application of GIS to planning. He has lectured at the University of Malta and contributed cartographic expertise to academic publications.
