Biography
Dr Antonio Garcia CGeog, FRGS, PMP, is an author and historian who has published widely on military history, strategy and conflict. His book co-authored with Ian Van Der Waag, Botha, Smuts and the First World War was longlisted for the Templar Medal. After winning the SA Army Writing prize he published the book South Africa and United Nations Offensive Operations, which was a work of military theory, followed by The First Campaign Victory of the Great War, a strategic and historical campaign history; and co-authored the memoirs of Max Lauker, Number 788 which won the Military and Frontline book award. Antonio holds non-resident academic positions at The Open University and Stellenbosch University.
