Biography
Arnab Saha is a Chartered Geographer (GIS) and Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society with over a decade of experience in geospatial science, enterprise GIS, and spatial data management. He holds a PhD from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, where he was awarded the James Watt Research Scholarship. He currently works as ICT Senior Officer (Development) - (GIS Developer) at the City of Edinburgh Council, where he leads enterprise GIS infrastructure, develops web mapping applications, and provides geospatial analysis to support urban planning, transport, and environmental services across the city. His research background spans remote sensing, hydrological modelling, soil contamination, and environmental management. He has contributed to internationally funded projects supported by NERC-UKRI, the Newton Fund, the World Bank, and HS2 Limited. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed journal publications and presented at national and international conferences.
