Biography

Chrystiann is a Senior Fluvial Geomorphologist in the WSP UK that specialises in river restoration, biodiversity net gain, sustainable sediment management, catchment management and the Water Framework Directive (WFD). Fieldwork experience in fluvial environments and landscapes in France, UK, and Brazil. Environmental consultant with a track record in multiple projects on the effects of tailings dam breach events upon fluvial geomorphology. As a geomorphologist, Chrystiann has worked with stakeholders in different countries to define best-fit channel restoration options and manage erosion problems. As a consultant in the UK, he has worked with regulators, clients, and stakeholders to ensure that river corridors achieve a Biodiversity Net Gain in every project he has been involved in. Besides delivering, managing, and assessing project reports timely, Chrystiann has written several reports for environmental regulators’ analysis.
