Dr Daniel Hale CGeog

Biography

Daniel specialises in the everyday human costs and challenges of economic and environmental change. His PhD research, at the University of Leeds School of Geography, articulated the concerns of those caught up in the shift to neoliberalism, and the multiple and dynamic ways in which workers challenge and adapt to large-scale economic change. Professional work outside academia has focused on the ways in which changes in economies and the environment impact the poorest and most vulnerable in society (both in the UK and around the world). Much of this work has taken place in a variety of leadership roles in NGOs and INGOs, providing opportunities for people in the UK to critique current policy and support practical solutions for a more equitable and sustainable world.
