Biography
Dr David Cross leads on geographical and statistical evidence and analyses at the Forestry Commission and as SRO for the Key Performance Indicators publications. This includes reporting Government’s new planting of woodland and trees in England towards net zero commitments and performance analyses supporting the Annual Report & Accounts. He leads on the production of the Forest Services Board dashboards. Previously Programme Manager at Forest Research delivering the tree cover outside woodland in Great Britain National Forest Inventory report, he contributes to Forestry England’s Natural Capital Accounts. Led projects on geographical, socioeconomic and environmental areas for central government. Former Research Fellow of the Department of Geography at King’s College London.
