Dr Emil Bayramov CGeog (GIS)

Biography

Dr. Emil Bayramov holds 20 years of professional, scientific and academic experience in Geospatial, Remote Sensing and Photogrammetry technologies applied for the majority of disciplines of onshore and marine petroleum and gas industry. Since 2008, Dr. Bayramov works for BP Oil and Gas Company (Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey Region) on the position of Senior Geospatial Information Specialist. Dr. Emil Bayramov holds PhD in Natural Sciences (Specialization: Geospatial and Remote Sensing Technologies) from Dresden University of Technology in Germany, Master’s Degree in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) from Lund University in Sweden, second Master’s Degree (Honor) in Geography, Bachelor’s Degree (Honor) in Geography. Dr. Bayramov is the Chartered Geographer (GIS) from the Royal Geographical Society (RGS) in UK and the Certified Remote Sensing Professional from the Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG). He was also a winner of the US Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship Program 2007-2008 and spent one year at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the United States of America for the Leadership, Professional and Academic development in Geospatial and Remote Sensing Technologies and was awarded with the Leadership Diplomas from the President of the United States and the President of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). During 2016-2017, he was the Fulbright Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar in Geospatial and Remote Sensing Technologies at American University Washington DC in the US. He holds a number of scientific and professional publications in the high-rank peer-reviewed international journals, conference proceedings, and was an invited speaker at a number of professional and scientific conferences. He is also the author of the peer-reviewed international book. He currently pursues his Habilitation in Geospatial and Remote Sensing Technologies at Technical University of Berlin in Germany.
