Biography

Dr Gary Duckers is a Chartered Geographer, archaeologist and geospatial consultant specialising in historic environment information systems, GIS, heritage data management and digital transformation. He is currently a Historic Environment ICT & GIS Consultant supporting local authorities, heritage organisations and national bodies through the implementation and development of Historic Environment Record systems. Gary holds a PhD in Archaeology from the University of Chester and has over fifteen years' experience applying geospatial technologies, remote sensing and data management to heritage conservation, planning and research. His interests include digital heritage, spatial analysis, environmental change detection and the application of emerging technologies to heritage management.
