Biography
llse is a physical geographer, environmental scientist and GIS specialist working in the field of water resource and environmental management, fluvial geomorphology and geospatial analysis. She received her BA (Hons) and research Master’s degree from Stellenbosch University in South Africa and was awarded a PhD by the University of Southampton, UK. In her over 25 year career she worked on water resource & marine management, fluvial geomorphology, climate change and ecosystem impact projects and geostatistical data manipulation, analysis and modelling in international development projects (Africa and Far East) and within the UK. She is currently co-Director of a small SME focussing on consultancy, conservation and research in aquatic ecosystems and water resource management. She also retains Visiting Researcher status at the University of Southampton.
