Biography

Dr. Karen Woo is Division Leader and Associate Programme Director of the Associate Degree in Applied Science at the College of International Education, Hong Kong Baptist University. She teaches courses in Geography, Environmental Resources Management, and Sustainable Communities, and has led curriculum development and innovation across multiple programmes. Her work incorporates inquiry-based learning, VR fieldwork, and interdisciplinary sustainability education. A Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Dr. Woo also serves as Vice-Chair of the Association for Geoconservation, Hong Kong. She advises Community Leap on environmental education and has led impactful projects such as Hong Kong Wildtracks and the SILVER platform, demonstrating her commitment to advancing geographical knowledge, digital learning, and public engagement.
