Biography
I have 18 years of hydrology and geomorphology experience working in the flood risk management sector within environmental consultancy. I have strong technical hydrology skills and experience of undertaking hydrological assessment/calculations, using statistical Flood Estimation Handbook (FEH) and Revitalised FEH (ReFH2) methods to estimate design peak flows and hydrographs for flood risk management applications. I undertake low flow estimation to support fish passage and weir removal studies. Additionally, I have geomorphology experience undertaking geomorphological assessments to investigate the impact of environmental and road schemes on watercourses. I have extensive field-based experience and experience of working in a range of different environments including urban, rural, fluvial and coastal catchments, working on specific sites to the catchment scale. I am a Qualified Surveyor to undertake River Condition Assessments and MoRPh surveys to support BNG Assessments. I manage national team resources, provide technical and chartership guidance, mentor junior team members, and have project management and line management duties.
