Biography
I have worked in the utilities sector for over 25 years, creating and delivering geo-spatial software solutions focused on reducing the risk of damage to buried assets, and on improving the accuracy and quality of the data held about those assets. I am a two-time winner of the Geovation Innovation Challenge and have provided independent expert advice to a number of utility data sharing initiatives in the UK and internationally over several years. I have been a Technical Advisor to the Government Geospatial function and Product Owner for the ""National Underground Asset Register"" (NUAR) programme, driving the delivery of a comprehensive and secure data sharing platform for buried assets. As Product Owner, I provided technical leadership on the project and on the development and publication of a harmonised data model for the domain. I am currently Principal Data Architect for the National Data Library.
