Biography
I am a dedicated geography educator with nearly three decades of leadership and academic expertise, holding a BSc in Geography from Queen Mary and Westfield College and a PGCE from the University of East Anglia. I have served as Subject Leader for Geography at The Appleton School since 2008, following 11 years at St Peter's High School as Head of Geography and Head of Humanities. My academic background includes a Master's in Geography in Education from the IOE – University of London and an EdD from Canterbury Christ Church University, focusing on geography education and spiritual transcendence. An active member of the Geographical Association and its Secondary Phase Committee, my wider professional contributions include serving as a Chartered Geographer (CGeog) Initial Assessor, alongside extensive experience as an Early Career Teacher (ECT) and Initial Teacher Training (ITT) mentor.
