Biography

Stephen is a Deputy Editor of the Journal of Education for Teaching. He is now retired from his post in the Carnegie School of Education at Leeds Beckett University but continues to do some occasional work for the university . He previously worked at Bradford College University Centre and, prior to that, he taught geography in secondary education for over 25 years, becoming Head of Geography and Examinations Officer. Stephen has a BEd (Hons) in Geography from the University of Exeter, an MEd in Philosophy, Education and Curriculum, and a PhD in Teacher Education and Professional Development, both from The University of Sheffield. Stephen has authored many publications. He also has experience as Chair of Governors of a secondary Academy, and as Vice-Chair of Trustees, and now a Member, of a Multi-Academy Trust Board.
