Biography
Suzanne is Head of Geospatial Systems in the Ordnance Survey Directorate of Land & Property Services in Northern Ireland. Suzanne has many years of experience working in the GI sector. She was instrumental in the creation of the second Northern Ireland GI Strategy 2009- 2019 to educate and encourage greater use of geographic information in decision making in government. She also wrote the first Open Data Strategy for NI. Suzanne has a BSc (Hons) Environmental Science and a PhD in coastal vulnerability and GIS from Ulster University and an MSc in Leadership & Innovation in the Public Sector. Suzanne is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors and was Chair of the Ireland and Northern Ireland region for 2021/22.
