Biography
Tomas is a geographer specialising in geospatial applications for risk and extreme weather events. He is CTO at Addresscloud where he leads research and development. Previously Tomas led the Urban Risk Map project at the MIT Urban Risk Lab in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The risk map and the underlying software CogniCity which Tomas designed at the Open Geospatial Lab, SMART Infrastructure Facility, University of Wollongong in Australia. His work has received awards from the Institute of Civil Engineers, the Open Data Institute and has been feature in National Geographic online. Tomas holds a PhD in Geomatics, and a Bachelors in Geographic Information Science from Newcastle University.
