Biography
A Royal Engineer Lieutenant Colonel with a diverse 21-year career in the British Army. Royal Engineers are responsible for the ground; to understand, shape and portray the terrain to the advantage of Defence and wider applications. They achieve this by reconnaissance, geospatial analysis and representation, and by the physical application of engineering to the terrain. Personal experience in this capacity includes deployments to the South Atlantic, Cyprus, Kenya, Iraq and Afghanistan, and formally teaching these skills to other officers. Other skills include leadership and management, recruitment, policy, project and programme management, risk management, security, intelligence, training, construction, languages, business change management and operations management.
