Biography
Claire Newman joined the Defence Geographic Centre in 1991. Her experience spans a wide range of activities including map and chart production utilising conventional and digital cartographic techniques, geographic research, international liaison and managing and evaluating geographic materials for use as sources or for fulling requests for information. As a qualified trainer, Chartered Geographer and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development she has held responsibilities for the provision of training and skills development for the Geospatial Analyst community. She has a BSc (Hons) in Geography and Geology.
