Biography

Helen is a GIS Developer in the Property Asset Register team at Transport for London. She has extensive experience across both the public and private sectors, having previously worked for the Welsh Government, the Coal Authority, local authorities, and other public sector bodies, as well as in private sector consultancy on high-profile projects such as HS2. She holds an MSc with merit in Geographical Information Science from the University of Nottingham, where she achieved a distinction for her dissertation exploring locative media on mobile devices. She also has a BA (Hons) in Geography and Archaeology/Ancient History from the University of Birmingham. Helen is skilled in web map applications, geospatial analysis, map production, and data management. She is particularly passionate about empowering and inspiring others to develop these skills and actively promotes the use of GIS both internally and externally.
