Biography
Laura Foden is a Senior Scientist within the Strategic Water Services team at Arup in Leeds. After completing an MSc. in River Environments and their Management, she began a career in consultancy in 2016 where she has applied her geographical and geomorphological understanding to a variety of projects. These projects have included topics such as Water Environment Regulations (formerly Water Framework Directive) compliance, fluvial geomorphology, river restoration, nature-based solutions and water resources across a broad range of locations throughout the UK. Laura is also an experienced Environmental Coordinator for Flood Alleviation Schemes with a broad range of understanding of other environmental topics such as ecology, historic environment and landscape.
