Biography
Lauren Burt is a Coastal Project Engineer at Coastal Partners, and a member of the team responsible for the appraisal of flood and coastal erosion risk management projects. This role draws upon a higher understanding of coastal processes to ensure that the dynamic coastline is managed effectively and sustainably. As Project Manager for the delivery of a newly proposed intertidal habitat creation scheme commencing 2020, Lauren is able to align her experience in coastal management and coastal processes, and interests in ecological enhancement and habitat creation. Lauren previously worked for New Forest District Council (Coastal Engineer, 2.5 years) and the Channel Coastal Observatory (Coastal Process Scientist, 4.5 years), has a BSc in Geography from the University of Exeter and a MSc in Coastal Engineering from the University of Southampton.
