Biography
My name is Rachael Sparrow, I have over 15 years of experience working in roles that directly link to Geography. I currently work as a Transport Planner for a Local Authority. I specialise in setting up, delivering and managing projects that encourage people to travel actively and sustainably. Another area of focus is developing and writing transport strategy and guidance documents. Prior to this I worked as an Environmental Consultant for a renewable energy consultancy, as part of this I carried out a wide variety of environmental assessments for Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)s. I graduated from the University of St Andrews with a bachelors degree with honours in Sustainable Development. I have always had a keen interest in the natural world and have been passionate about Geography since High School. I aspire to spend the rest of my career being involved in, and contributing to, the field of Geography.
