Biography
I am an environmental professional who has worked in the environmental sector since 1991. I have had the opportunity to work on many different projects including the regulation of waste sites, the redevelopment of contaminated land, onshore oil and gas and environment planning including water quality, water resources and waste planning. I currently work for the Environment Agency on HS2 - Europe’s largest construction project. My focus in this role is to ensure the work I consent provides the right level of groundwater protection to protect against future deterioration. During my career in addition to making evidence based technical assessments to support my decision making I have also delivered stakeholder engagement events to members of the public, regulatory bodies, opposition groups, local politicians and members of parliament, environmental consultants, site operators and many other groups of key stakeholders about the shale gas industry, drought, contaminated land and contentious planning issues.
