Biography

My previous professional experience was working for a GIS firm as a GIS engineer with Cyient. I am currently working as a Land Referencer at WSP. I have more than 7 years of experience in Land Referencing and 3 years of experience in Geographical Information System. I have completed Post Graduate Certification in GeoInformatics from The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). I have worked on application such as ArcGIS, QGIS, Google earth and used various tools by ensuring optimum utilization of various topologies to ensure data quality of the spatial relationships and assisting in data compilation and were developed further through more projects being included months after months. My experience has enabled me to manage complex queries and the ability to manage difficult situations. Within WSP, I successfully deliver projects from start to finish within budget working closely with land consultants, sub-consultants, and client to ensure the programme is followed through to the letter. Throughout Lifecycle of the project, I ensure that all incoming client, Stakeholder, and third-party information is updated on regular occurrences and responsible for updating database on web-based application with scheme related communication and analysing spatial data on web-GIS. I am encouraging my colleagues to do apply for chartership. The RGS hosts many webinars by which I stay connected as well as updated about new trends in the domain of GIS. This is an open platform which encourages participants from all over the world to join and explore. I aspire to promote geography, the RGS, CGeog and GIS at all stages of my career.
