Biography

Currently employed at the Animal & Plant Health Agency (APHA) as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst, supporting high level epidemiologists with GIS expertise. My conduct is guided by key behaviours enshrined in the civil service code:- integrity, honesty, objectivity and impartiality. I am the current department quality manager with ISO 9001 Internal Auditor accreditation and completed a Certificate of Higher Education (Level 4) Data Analyst Apprenticeship (Merit), which seeks to develop skills that span the full data lifecycle, mostly though python coding, various data visualisations with both descriptive and inferential statistics as well as developing a PowerBI dashboard with a mapping element which is now being used operationally in outbreak work. I have experience as a GIS data analyst, spatial database administrator and FME workflow designer with 17 years of experience using in both the private and public sector. I have advanced skillset in the ArcGIS suite of software as well as secondary skills in UI/UX, data analysis and quality control.
